The Poetry of Lent

Lent is the time when the days lengthen and we spend more time in the light, anticipating the arrival of
spring. It’s also a time to prepare the way and make room for what matters most. As you journey through
the days from Ash Wednesday to Easter, we invite you to follow along in the devotional The Poetry of Lent.
To accompany you on your journey, you can purchase or borrow from the library a copy of Devotions: The
Selected Poems of Mary Oliver or you can find her poetry online. Each week we’ll travel together toward
Easter morning.
Printed copies of the devotionals are available at the back of the sanctuary or you can also find it online
on the church’s facebook page. We will also be posting on the church facebook page selected portions
