Who we are…

We are the Groveland Congregational Church, United Church of Christ. We are proud of our long and rich heritage as a church, a legacy which began on June 17, 1726.

Our steeple houses the eleventh cast by patriot Paul Revere in 1795 and it is the oldest Revere bell in continuous service.

The governance of the church is vested in its members, in the tradition of New England Congregationalism, and operate in accordance with established principles and in covenant with the United Church of Christ.  The polity is determined by the action of the members at Annual Meeting.

While proud of our past, we embrace the opportunities of the present and hold great hope for our future.

We are an Open and Affirming congregation who believe that all people are beloved children of God. We welcome everyone with open arms – no matter who you are where you are on life’s journey.

We welcome you to check us out on Facebook or join us on Sunday morning (currently we are worshiping virtually but you can see our services here!) to see what we’re all about.

A few things we’re great at

Would you like to join us in our work to serve others?

perry park preschool

Located in the lower level of the building, Perry Park Preschool has been the preschool program of choice for families in Groveland since 1977. For information about enrolling your child, please reach out to Marie McCall, Preschool Director, at 978-374-6678.

Thrift Shop

We are open!!

Come shop at the Thrift Shop on Wednesdays and Saturdays from 9-12. We can also accept your donations of gently used items.  There are bins located outside the shop.

All of your donations translate to funds sent back into the community!  They support fuel assistance here in Groveland as well as food pantries and shelters in the local area.

If you have any questions, call 978-372-6617

Worship

We plan to return to worship in our historic sanctuary on Palm Sunday, March 21st at 11 am.  COVID guidelines will be in place for everyone’s safety.  You can also continue to watch the worship service on Facebook and You Tube.

This Sunday we will celebrate together in a couple ways! Our sanctuary is open and we will gather there with some COVID restrictions still in place. We are asking attendees to wear masks and remain socially distant. Because we are using alternating pews and keeping congregants […]
Welcome everyone! Our second read is The Four Winds by Kristin Hannah. It’s a little “lighter” than our first book, Caste. The Four Winds takes readers to the Dust Bowl, where Elsa Martinelli lives with her in-laws, drunk husband, and two young children. Struggling to survive […]
