Pastor Chris Hart

Pastor Chris is a Poet, Storyteller,  Process Theologian, Postmodern Sarcastic, Transition Specialist, and a Paper Mache Artist. He is authoring his own social media empire and is committed to helping the church of today emerge into the twenty second century. Pastor Chris uses an empowering and adaptive leadership style to help communities of faith to grow, and change. He is passionate about worship that is fresh, creative, engaging, and participatory.

Pastor Chris has lived in Southern California, Washington State, Saint Louis, Wernersville Pennsylvania, and Southbridge.  His degrees focus on Sign Language Interpreting, Developmental Psychology, and Drug and Alcohol Counseling.. He earned his Master of Divinity from Eden Theological Seminary in 2008 and is becoming a Professional Transition Specialist through the Interim Ministry Network in 2014. Pastor Chris is pursuing a certificate in Church revitalization from the Center for Progressive renewal.

Pastor Chris is married to his high school sweetheart, Jennifer. Together they have 3 children, ranging in age from 19 to 7. Jennifer is baking pro who loves crafting and word games and puzzles. Pastor Chris loves long road trips, good coffee, science fiction, and things “made at home from what you have”. He loves science.


Music Director/Organist – Linda Paulet

Linda obtained a BA in Theology from Capital University, Columbus, Ohio and a Certificate of Service Playing from the American Guild of Organists. Linda has been organist at Groveland Congregational Church since 1974! During that time she has also served as Cherub and Junior Choir Director (15 years) and Adult Choir Director (13 years). Linda has affiliations with the American Guild of Organists, the Choristers Guild and the United Church of Christ Musicians Association.


 Adult Choir Director – Kathleen Tucker-Gustafson

Kathleen received her undergraduate degree from Emmanuel College in Boston and a Master’s Degree in Sacred Music from Boston University. A life-long teacher, Kathleen has taught in public and private schools in Woburn, Salem, Mendon, Upton, Wilmington and Lawrence, Massachusetts and Fort Kent, Maine. Her music ministry began at St. Mary’s church in Franklin.


Youth Group Coordinator – Barbara McGovern

Beam, as she is so lovingly called, is a retired teacher from North Andover.  Her 38 plus years in teaching continues to be augmented by volunteerism in local churches, youth camps and charities.  Her church work includes multiple positions in Christian Education leadership working with children of all ages.  She is approachable, kind, and knowledgeble.  Her love of God and desire to serve is evident through her actions and through her communications with others.  As the Youth Group Coordinator, Beam loving teaches others how to feel the love of God through actual experiences. She encourages all to share their God given talents with others and truly be part of a thriving faith community.


Sunday School Coordinator – ??your name here??

Office Administrator and Bookkeeper – Jennifer Petersen

Jen graduated from Colby-Sawyer College in 1987 with a degree in Business Administration with a Concentration in Management and a Minor in Psychology.  After ten years in the retail banking industry she decided to stay at home to raise her two sons.  Once they began school in 2005, she worked part time at the Perry Park Preschool as a Teacher’s Assistant.  In 2009 she began working in the church office where she’s been ever since!  She lives in Groveland with her two sons and her husband.
